To most kids, riding on the school bus is as big a part of school as the pop quiz. Not many people seem to notice the school bus driver and even if they did, it was probably just to ask if they could sit elsewhere that day. To many people, the school bus driver is nameless and not worth a full conversation. However, those same students probably aren’t aware of how difficult it can be to acquire the job of a certified school bus driver. So the next time you see a school bus driver, make sure to be polite and say hello. You can feel safe and secure in the fact that these school drivers had to go through a lot in order to get that job, and that they are truly qualified through bus transportation laws to drive students where they need to go.
